Pitching in for Kids Celebrity Golf Classic

What could be better on an early June day, than a celebrity golf tournamnet that raises money for kids?  On Monday, June 4, Tim Wakefield participated in Pitching in for Kids’ 2012 Celebrity Golf Classic.  Before the tournament even began, two lucky golfers got a chance to compete alongside retired Boston Red Sox catcher, Jason Varitek, in a hole-in-one shot, for $1,000,000.  Following the all-day golf classic, there was an awards dinner, sponsored by the Capital Grille.  Tim Wakefield has maintained an active role in this great, Boston-based charity.  Pitching in for Kids is still a fairly young charitable organization, founded in 2004.  It is dedicated to providing specifically targeted grants that are designed to improve the lives of children across New England.
