Jerod Mayo participates in ribbon cutting at BMC

November 18, 2011

The Patriots linebacker and his fiance, Chantel, visited Boston Medical Center earlier this week to cut the ribbon unveiling the new BMC Food Pantry Truck, which was funded by a $100,000 donation from the Walmart Foundation.

While at the hospital, the couple also visited with patients and toured the Pediatric Emergency Room area, which will be rehabbed with the help of funds raised by Jerod’s 2011 Mayo Bowl.

Blue Sky is looking for interns

November 17, 2011

We are currently interviewing candidates to fill our spring semester intern positions.

Blue Sky Sports & Entertainment is a full service sports marketing and entertainment management firm dedicated to providing our clients with the very best personal service.  With our experience, knowledge and contacts in the industry, we successfully plan events, secure talent for appearances, and develop strategic marketing partnerships for our corporate and individual clients.

Training received during your internship will be for your own benefit and will be under the close supervision of Blue Sky employees.  Such training may include, by way of example, marketing research, administrative tasks, drafting correspondence, and coordination of event logistics.  Blue Sky internships are unpaid positions, however, we encourage interns to earn school credit.

All internships require a minimal commitment of two days per week (16 hours).

We encourage students who are interested in a hands-on experience and exposure to a fast-paced sports and entertainment company to consider an internship position with Blue Sky.  If you are a positive, energetic, and multi-task oriented person, we would love to hear from you.  The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a desire to learn the ropes of the sports marketing and entertainment industry.

To apply, please email your resume to info@blueskyse.com.

Glen Davis is keynote speaker at Day One’s Annual Celebration

November 8, 2011

Glen Davis spent an evening in Portland, Maine recently on behalf of Day One, an adolescent substance abuse prevention and treatment program.  Glen participated in the ground breaking of a local basketball court which will serve a low income neighborhood.  He then attended Day One’s annual fundraiser, where he told his own personal experience of being brought up in a household affected by substance abuse and gave inspiration to others to support Day One’s initiatives.  Glen personally supported Day One by bidding on and winning several silent auction items at the event.  A great time was had by all and we look forward to next year!
